In 1958, when the founder of The John Birch Society Robert Welch warned Americans that the United Nations was designed as an incipient world government most Americans ignored his warning and the warning of JBS members. In 1992, when The John Birch Society sent investigative reporter William F. Jasper to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to cover the UN Conference on Environment and Develo9pment (UNCED), too few Americans would read his messages of warning that he brought back about AGENDA 21 and the Wildlands Project. So JBS published articles about AGENDA 21 in our magazine, THE NEW AMERICAN. These were distributed widely and Americans who cared about private property finally began to catch on a little. I’m glad that more and more are finally beginning to see what “Sustainable Agenda” is about. JBS, in the February 21, 2011 issue of THE NEW AMERICAN, warned about the local work of the UN through ICLEI to get local governments to join the UN’s AGENDA 21.
